Project Spotlight: The Mason’s Patio
The Mason family came to Custom Decks of VA mid-2020 during the height of COVID. Aside from the increase in time spent at home due to COVID, the Mason’s quickly realized that they needed a better outdoor living space to spend time with friends and family. Kenny and his team quickly worked to design the perfect patio space that met their needs.

Design considerations:
The fireplace is taller than your average outdoor fireplace, standing at 13 ft. tall
Patio design incorporates a mix of flagstone and pavers
The Finished Product
The Mason’s went from a small 10x10 deck to a 600 sqft patio. The space was completely custom designed to fit their needs, from the cooking area for the grill and smoker to the fireplace, light fixtures, and placement of the outlets.
The Custom Decks team worked with the Mason family every step of the way, frequently adjusting design options on the fly based on their preferences. The end result was the perfect patio for hosting, grilling out, and enjoying time with their friends and family.
